Headcake Media was originally created in 2002 as Zen Design. It was a part-time project for Lon Czarnecki who began his career in the early 90s as a graphic designer. Around 1994 Lon was introduced to the newly emerging world of web design creating pages for Enesco Corp and their various product lines such as Precious Moments. Still during all that time he designed and art directed 300+ page catalogs, magazine ads, and POP displays. In the early break of the millennium he became Art Director and Webmaster for AlliantLink.com and ran the graphics arm of the Marketing department. He later moved to Career Education Corporation as the Sr. Art Director of the marketing department. Here Lon would create web designs, direct photo shoots, build graphic standard manuals, create branding strategies, produce and direct radio and TV spots, organize and hire models, actors, crews, you name it. This is where Zen Design started.
In 2006, Lon left his current position to dedicate his time to freelance. He changed the name from Zen Design to Headcake Media. After all, advertising is brain-candy, and if you can have candy, why not have cake?
Headcake Media has been going strong since 2006 based on nothing but referrals.
